Scope of Works

The refurbishment of the old Co-operative maintained Grade II listed building in the centre of Newcastle. The finished refurbishment delivered a new 184 Bedroom Premier Inn Hotel and associated facilities, retail units at street level and a gymnasium within the basement. This was a full design and build mechanical, electrical and plumbing services project.

  • A challenging design to ensure the Premier Inn brand standards were achieved without detriment to the Grade II listed building and elements identified by the conservation officer for preservation.
  • Critical logistical planning associated with a city centre site, were the building perimeter is the site boundary.
